How to Fold a Napkin With a Ring Holder

Napkins can dress up a table, and adding a napkin ring and a fold will really impress your family and guests. Some folds are simple and quick but make a bold statement on the table. The fan fold is one of the more impressive folds. Fold the napkins the night before the special dinner so they will be ready to place on the plates.Add this to my Recipe Box.

1Lay the napkin on the table with the right side down.

2Fold it in half from the bottom to the top. Press your finger along the fold to form a crease, then open the napkin again.

3Fold the napkin from the bottom to the top in an accordion style. Make each about 1 inch wide.

4Fold the accordion napkin in half.

5Slide the ring onto the napkin, from the end you just folded. It should be two to three inches from the folded end.

6Lay the napkin on the table and fan out the accordion folds at the top of the napkin. You can lay the napkin with the fan toward the top or the bottom, whichever you prefer, on the plate.
